With the Andaman Sea's beauty bordered by massive mountains, an abundance of nature that has been strictly preserved and challenging steep cliffs that await climbers from all over to prove their skills, Railay Beach is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist destinations in Krabi.

Railay Beach or Railay Bay is one of the most famous beaches in Krabi province. It is in the administrative area of Hat Nopparat Thara - Phi Phi Islands National Park. It is known as the second Phi Phi Island because of its beauty. Railay Beach is frequently mistaken for an island, however it is actually a part of the mainland located on the Ao Nang coast. The distance from the coast is only about 10-15 minutes travelling by boat. The beach appears as a flat terrain flanked by large limestone mountains on both sides that curve together making it feel like a hidden beach in the heart of the valley. The beach is accessible only by boat.

Railay Beach is divided into 2 parts: First part is East Railay Beach, also known as Haad Nam Mao. It is a mangrove forest stretching along the coast. The beach here is muddy and full of shells and mangrove roots not suitable for swimming. However, it is a popular area for rock climbing as the area has limestone cliffs that are almost 90 degrees steep. The second part is West Railay Beach, a popular beach for general vacationers. Popular activities here are chilling on the beach, sunbathing, swimming, canoeing, playing table tennis, and more. The two beaches are separated by rocks.

In addition to the two beaches, just a few minutes on foot, you will find Ton Sai Bay. This is another popular place where climbers come to test their skills. For those who are pros and have quite a lot of rock climbing experience, it is recommended to try climbing here. The cliffs are steeper and more difficult than other rock climbing spots in the area and are often used as a venue for annual "rock climbing" events. In the adjacent area, there is Phra Nang Cave Beach or Tham Phet. It is a cave with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites as well as a Phra Nang shrine. Swimming and beach activities are allowed in the area.

Railay Beach is a well known and very famous Andaman beach. For the most part, there are more than 4,000 foreign tourists visiting here per day, making Railay Beach a very busy tourist destination.

the timeless beauty.
